When will the whole shift take place where we can order products and browse business information on the new website. Its looks great and I love the interactive videos about each product line. I would love to have the whole website at amway.com so there is no transistion.

Great looking site - a definite progression on previous versions.

Only quibble is (as IBOFightback has said elsewhere), this site is for the US market, where the Amway.com site before was for the “global” Amway market. Perversely, the North American market is now “AmwayGlobal” when it dosn’t represent the “Global” market and at the same time the Amway.com site is turned from a world site into a North American site.
Unless there is more to come, it seems that the strategy hasn’t been thought through clearly enough. :(

perhaps cmfitzg, amwayglobal.com will later become the amway … uhhh .. global, site?

@Subbu and @cmfitzg: Thank you both for your feedback! To answer your questions: While we added new product sections to Amway.com, it is not a commerce site. Adding functionality above and beyond in the future is not out of the question; for now, Amway.com remains a fluid, information-rich site that reflects the transformation of the Amway brand.

You can still link to the North American commerce site (AmwayGlobal.com) or to the affiliate sites through the “Global Family” pages under the “About Amway” section.

Currently, we are Amway Global in North America and Amway everywhere else. Our affiliate sites cater to cultural and business needs of those respective markets. That said, you can learn more about North America as well as our global operations all on Amway.com as previously indicated.

    AMB,

I think cmfitzg’s point is that http://www.Amway.com does not, at first glance, represent ALL of Amway around the world.

Amway.com defaults to the United States market—Amway.com/en

Just wondering why there’s not a “cover page” to the site, similar to, say, http://www.canon.com.

Instead, Amway.com follows what http://www.Kodak.com does (defaults to the U.S. as the FIRST impression).

There is something to be said about the fact that this is a world-wide business. But, as I said, the first impression of Amway.com does not reflect this.

In addition, this U.S.-centric first page could possibly alienate those outside the U.S.

    Just a thought.

IBOFB and Bridgett are so much clearer in stating my concerns than I am !! :)
